What the Bible says about hate

I said: "'Hate' is good ... and necessary ... in the correct context.

'Hate' is bad ... and harmful ... in the incorrect context.
"


And, what a shocker! So does the Bible.

It goes without even checking to look that the article never quotes Romans 9:13

'as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated'

As Victor says 'The hatred of persons, which is the context of this discussion, is always unacceptable. We are never to hate persons.'

Victor is so much nicer than his religion.


It has been explained to me in the past that Romans 9:13 means that God hates whole nations, rather than individuals.

I didn't buy that.
